We are proud of the fact that many of Allied’s employees have been part of our team since the company was founded. One of our goals at Allied is to be a company where people want to build their career. To ensure we are working towards that goal, we measure ourselves with a couple of Key Performance Indictors: our longevity statistics for our apprentices and our journeymen, and the number of unsolicited applications we receive monthly from apprentices and journeymen. Our stats are impressive – we are achieving our goal of being an Employer of Choice.

You’ll work on a wide variety of projects: commercial (for example: health care, warehouses, office buildings), small projects, civil infrastructure, and more. Because you’re learning more, there’s less of a chance you’ll be pigeon-holed later in your career.

Training and mentoring

One of the advantages of having long service employees is that we invest in training our employees well. We regularly hold Lunch & Learns for staff so they are knowledgeable about the latest products and technical information in the industry. We have roving General Superintendents who coach and mentor our Foremen. Allied believes in lifelong learning and supports our employees in their academic endeavours. Not only do we provide ongoing on-the-job training, we also encourage our employees to pursue certifications under the Gold Seal program.
